Hi I am Ashish Tamhane from Nashik.
« on: July 02, 2011, 11:46:42 PM »
Hello everyone,
I am Ashish Tamhane, a 22 year old Computer Science student from Nashik. My journey in photography started when my family bought me a Kodak KB10 film point and shoot camera about 15 years back or so. After shooting many rolls with that camera, I got a Sony Cybershot DSC-W30 point and shoot. It was here that my actual learning in photography began.

Just about 4 months back I got myself the spanking new Nikon D3100 DSLR intent to share my knowledge and photos with you all.

Regards,
Ashish Tamhane.

Thank you Lightwave and Toofan. Am I supposed to start a new thread in the gallery section so that I can upload my photos?

Some say those of us who love to talk about cameras and photography should instead go and take pictures. I say we should go and also take pictures.

Welcome to forum Ashish.

Your name reminds me of Tamhane performance Spark plugs for motorbikes made by one Mr. Tamhane  and they were recommended a lot few years ago ( I don't know today's situation as I am out of souping up bikes now)

 Any connection ?

Welcome to the forums ! :)

Do share your photos in the gallery section which is frequented by a lot of members.

You can post your photos for critique and rest assured you will get a lot of constructive criticism to help improve your photography.

I believe a few members are staying in Nashik. You guys can form a group and go clicking. :)

@Brendon:

Thank you for the welcome!

I am a bit confused as to where exactly is the 'Gallery' section. Should I upload the photos in this same thread or is there a separate 'Gallery' section?

I will start a new thread wherein all members of Nashik can add in their contact details. One learns a lot simply by interacting with other photographers.
