Found this in DPS, intresting! The facts and figures are correct I guess.
However, this post is not for initiating a Brand War or comparing which one is better than the other. Its only for sharing the information.

Hmm interesting Canon's generates roughly 4 times more revenue then Nikon. However it should be noted Canon has other electronic products too apart from Camera, and Nikon has sizable market in eye-wear.

^^ Yup. That is Nikon glass that you can see in my avatar. :D

Canon is also much larger in the P&S category (No 1) along with printers so definitely Canon is ahead.

However do note that they mention Nikons sales per quarter while Canon's sales are per FY.

Nikon did 880 odd billion yen in 2011 while Canon did 3.9 trillion.

BTW Sony did 7.1 trillion yen sales in 2011 :P

He said sony... videocon cameras dont have the tenacity and capability to make such major market share :P
