WATERMARK query
Chillum Baba:
So I am thinking of adding watermark to my images. How do I do it? I have rarely used Photoshop(probably just once).
Any easy way to add a watermark?
How should one plan a watermark?
How do we position it? In the middle? At the corner? Transparent? Semitransparent?
Any tips or suggestions will be of big help.
Thank You.
CosmiC:
There are "actions" in photoshop which one can define. It can be played with action player whenever required. However I don't know how to define action as I have photoshop elements 7.0.
So what I do is
-There is a 'T' Type tool in photoshop. Select that.
- Click at some place in the main layer. A text box will appear. (A new layer for this would also get created )
- Change the text properties like font, size, color from the top. Photoshop usually remembers what you chose last time, so you won't have to do it all the time.
- Type in what you want. ( For copyright symbol © 'Alt+0169')
- You can adjust the length and breadth of text box by dragging the boundaries of it.
- You can position the text box any where in the pic by simply dragging it. Similarly you can change it's orientation as well.
- Now click on the text tool layer (in the layer pane) and adjust it's opacity. I prefer 30%.
That's it, you're done. It's very mechanical way but that's how I figured it out.
Hope that helps !
Chethan Ram:
I generally put it outside the image on the border. Few people prefer on the image itself, its up to you. Don't thinks there is any rule as such.
lightwave:
I find it easiest to do in LR. Design one using just plain text or an image. And then LR will apply it as configured to every image you export. You can turn this off at will.
Chillum Baba:
@CosmiC I guess it's same in paintshop pro which I usually use. Will figure it out.
@Chethan Ram Yes. I noticed those in your images.
@lightwave I assume LR is lightroom. Never tried it yet.
