Hey Arun,
If that's the case, try reaching a lil early. One can find loads of folks selling flowers on the pavement leading to SJP road in bulk.

+1 - two loads of flowers come in, first one when it's still a dark and the next at around 6. After that you'll get fewer flowers and it's better to move into the market.

The hawkers there are amongst the most photographed people in Bangalore, so you should get some good ones if you're fast enough.

PS: Also make allowance in terms of your route to get there as there's the 10k run tomorrow (which I thought would have been a more obvious photographing opportunity).

Hey Hayath !!  yes planning to reach there by 7am. After 8.30, police will come and will remove all those foot path sellers.

My probability of joining is low as need to be back by 8:00.
My kid just learned to swim in my absence  on weekday and wants to demo me .

Arun: never been to Avanue road that early but is it better then Madiwala footpath flower stalls opposite to forensic labs ?

I think that's on Sunday. I might go there to shoot a few runners :). I am not sure if they'd let me near the winners though.

Lol, I don't know why but that sounded like a member from your team wanted to show the bug he cracked :D.

Hmmm ... in which case I'll be there right next to Coffee Day Square (on the Cubbon Park side of the road). Tomorrow is impossible as I have morning commitments.

Awesome. Will they allow us to use flashes to do some portraits of runners? :) This would be after the run though.

I could have been one of those but .. late in registration spots were over , In another 10K in last year my time was good enough to photograph people who finished after me :p

LOL I guess the word 'demo' is coming from same background.

Ya but can say no to a team member but not to a 5 year old boy

After the race would mean inside the stadium ... not been in yet and don't know how close they allow us to get.

I do know that on the road you can shoot  without an issue (within reason).

To quote Naturecloseups (our ex member) "Point and Shoot" is a shooting style and not a type of Camera. One can make very pretty photos even with a compact.

so there are two events now;

  1. Cover the TCS 10k Marathon tomorrow morning.
  2. As usual a visit to lalbag for refreshment cum photography at 7am.

I would like to go ahead with point 2, As the marathon is not my kind of place to capture pics.

So guys, can we plan both independently in this thread?
