Dear All:

I completely missed the earlier thread on this trip - unfortunately missed the opportunity to meet you all and know you all in person..... :((
But incidentally I was also there @Ovalekar Wadi on the same day (04/12/2011).

I saw the nice pictures posted by you all - great work!!
I am taking this opportunity to post some of my catches - g2: hope you won't mind!!

I am not having a Macro - all these shots were captured on my Nikon 70-300 VR - I am a learner; would appreciate your comments & critique. That would help me to learn the art better.

Thank you all. Hope to see you all next time!!

Regards,
Tarashankar

g2: hope you won't mind!!

Not at all, do post more.
Resize your pics to about 800px on the longer side, that will make it easy on the bandwidth.

Thanks Vimal. #1 was shot with a Tamron 70-200mm f2.8 while #9 was shot with a Tamron 90mm lens. :)

I guess Tamron lenses give pretty nice colours. I have a Sigma 70-210mm f2.8 which is pretty sharp but I never did like the colours and no amount of PP would give me the colours I wanted so I am getting rid of it.

@Rkt - Seems you got tons of shots on this trip ! :)

@Brendon
Dragonfly shots are great, only wish you had more space on the right in 9. Liked 1, 5, 6, 8 and 9 too. 4 seems covered with dust?

@Rajesh
8 is superb, liked 7 too.

geetu: 07 is best till now.
Thanks, It's g2, not geetu  >:(

Thaniks toofan. Brendon & g2.

@Brendon & g2- Yes. This trip was very productive. Finally seem to be getting the hang of D7000. Compared to its complexities & controls  D70s was as easy as a point & shoot. Most of the butterfly pics are handheld but also got the hang of focussing better using Live View when on tripod. So overall, a good trip.

Time to start thinking about next Sunday. Where should we go? @Ayaz - Should we revive the Matheran plans?

Sorry Jeetu, or making you Geetu. :)

Brandon: I had always loved the colours in your images. Can I make a statement that Tamron rocks for colour reproduction. I think in colour photographs colours are also very important aspect of images so we must not neglect the colour output of lens also.
