Tammy is non IS. Price difference is considerable. You cannot compare it with L lens. However it gives very good pics. It however doesn't have the quick AF or the focus tracking of the L lens. OtIt depends on your needs.
Mk III, Some lenses. Couple of flashes and a 1.4x TC.

I know, but I havent handheld the Tamron one, so may be, I should test it once, before I order the Canon one.

Going to sell the 24-70mm and get this one then.

You could have tried mine ;)
I am happy with it. Maybe because I spent only 24K on it? But it serves my purposes. The bird pic in my recent Turkey pics posted is wit this Tamron.

Damn, if I get it for 24k, then Im up for it! LOL!

Can simply shoot weddings with 100mm f2.8L and then crop it, in that case :D

After using L series i never think any 3rd party lens.  Basically it is unfair to compare lens when price difference is 3 times ( 700$ v/s 2200 $)

Why r u always confused regarding what u need?? as i remember earlier your post selecting 24-70, 85 F/1.8  and now 70-200 .

The last doubt was 85mm 1.8 and 50mm 1.4 , which I paused later, as I have a 50mm 1.8 .

And after using the L lenses, I sold all of my 3rd party lenses , but this time , I was confused, since I read some good reviews about Tamron 70-200mm and saw people comparing them , so wanted to know the views.

this is best price . I dont think u will get less than 1.23L. After using L series u wont feel comfortable using tamy , specially in terms of fast and accurate focusing (seems markII version has latest USM version). Low light photography will req. IS and fast focusing.

Yes, thats the reason, I need it, since low light is my main req.

Currently, 100mm and 5D is doing the trick, but sometimes, I miss, what I see and for that, I need a longer zoom.

Dr Rajesh (lightwave) purchased his Tamron 70-200mm used for 24k.

@Soam - There is no comparison, IQ and AF speed is better on the Canon. IQ is only slightly better but AF speed is much better.
