I am getting a "Banned for 10 days for selling computer gears in Buy and Sell" message whenever I am trying to log from my home computer. It says that the ban will end on 4th March. During the ban I am, unable to post or PM. I have sent a screenshot to Karthik on Facebook as that was the only contact I could search for.

Could any of the moderators pleaselook in this. Also let me know if you need more information.

I have put a Yashica Electro GSN Range Finder and A F2 with 55mm 1.2. Thats all.

LOL - unless the Yashica was being sold as a paperweight, I think this might be a case of mistaken identity. Wait for the mods - I'll report this thread to the mods hoping to get their attention.

I hope its a case of mistaken Identity or someone is using my F2 (which is the only sold item from me) as a webcam.

You mean you can log from another computer but not from Home computer? Have you tried to clean cookies and temp internet files and then relog? Even then the cookies Had to come from somewhere. Did you try to sell any non=photography equipment here on another ID?

Yes, I can log from my office computer and can reply too. But the guest and logged in, both modes are showing the banned banner when I open the site from home. I have not ried cleaning my cookies yet, will do it evening when I get back home. No, I have noty posted any non-photography equipment for sell. I had posted only two thinsg for sale, a Yashica electro GSN Rangefinder and a Nikon F2 with 55mm lens. That's all

Well in that case a cookie cleanup and a temp file delete should solve your problem ... unless the ban is IP based and you are on static IP in which case only the mods will be able to solve it for you.

I will try that. JJMPF would be unaccessibe once I am home. I will try to connect after deleting my cookies and temp files.

Neelabh - if that's the case, then it points towards you (or anyone else who uses the comp) having an account that isn't neelabh75.
Is there another account on JJM F that is operated using that comp?

My wife uses my computer and I am dead sure that she is not happy of me spending time in front of the laptop but I doubt she would put my laptop on sell on JJMPF.

I request Admins to look in this.

Hahahahahaha, I seriously hope that's not the case.
Further is she is not happy, she might spill water on the laptop rather than helping you in getting a ban from JJ.

I think as normal consumer you do not have a fixed IP does your ISP changes the IP frequently
May be possible someone in your area was using the IP you have now and invited the ban.

In any case try releasing the IP and renew from your modem-router , Log in to the router and look for WAN IP.

I am assuming that mods are banning an IP and not user-id.

A member has been banned for selling computer gears in the last few days. However I don't see a IP match between Neelabh and that person.

I am not certain what I can do. I can say, Neelabh has no ban associated with him.

It's an IP ban for me. Looks like the mods banned someone from Hydrabad with the same ISP as mine and the ISP has a static id.

so the gist is not JJMPF at home till 4th March

True partly... scripts identified IP must be of the Gateway and anybody who operates from that gateway would get the message banned.

Looks like I'm hit by the ban as well

. My ISP is Beam Telecom in Hyderabad and cannot post from my home network anymore.
