A Bird,a Fly and a Kill!

2.Damsel fly



3.The kill i was truly fascinated by this tiny spider strangle and kill such a big(comparatively) bee



4. The Kill again

1) I feel a tinge of flash would have made a catchlight in the eye. That would have added some life to the shot. The eye is getting lost somehow.

2) Like the composition here & the good smooth background. You can crop this from both the sides to make it more tight & strong.

3) Good details & great timing of the click. Really nice.

4) This is not bad either but I prefer the 3rd one above.

Nice varied set Srini with some delightful details!

#2 is an ant-lion; not the desert dwelling beast, but the winged form of the ant
#3 is a crab spider..masters of stealth. Often hang around camouflaged in the flowers waiting to prey on unsuspecting insects coming in for a sip of sugar

thanks guys for you comments.  Vignesh-please dont call me sir. these were taken at my backyard by the way the last set of pics too you wanted to know where i took the pond heron etc the pie king fisher heron etc were taken near malavalli lake it is about 30 kms from maddur
hayath bhai thanks for educating about the lion ant and the crab spider yes i saw the crab spider in action and it was fascinating
