Got CS6 through Adobe store.
Installed this morning.
Will check in detail after going back from office.
Seems to be a gem on initial check.

Yes, purchased, thanks.
I had a purchased a licensed copy of Adobe Photoshop Elements 9 last year which is OK for most of the edits but has some limitations, specially with regard to content aware fill.
I didn't have a licensed copy of Adobe Photoshop CS and I didn't want to install any cracked software in my laptop.
Purchased the licensed copy of CS6 on 16th May 2012 and received the download on 18th May 2012.
I will carry out the installation & checking this evening and will let you know.

Using CS6 since its official launch , So far I have not found any drastic change from CS5 but my processing domain is very limited .

And Prabir sir , u paid 670$ .... OMG just for the dll file that I replaced and U didn't  ;) Silly jokes apart , its really nice to see those who can afford are buying the licensed SW , that keeps those companies running and let poor guys like us use the cracked ones . if all starts using the pirated ones then these developers will increase their security against cracking with every upgrade . So congrats and thank you , ( for the benefit we get from your purchase   :D )

Would like to know changes brought to ACR and Bridge

In CS5, full screen previews in Adobe Bridge didnt look that sharp (even if the photo is well sharp) and on clicking for 100%, while in fullscreen, took long time generate to photo.
However, this issue didnt existed in Lightroom

Ashvary, Rohitangshu, Mukund - thanks.
I had not thought about LR4 as I already have a licensed version of LR3 purchased 2 years back on-line. However, I use it mostly for RAW->JPEG conversion and very preliminary edits. I may not have used all the features of LR3 to be honest.
I'd used Adobe PS earlier (a cracked version of PS3 for a few days for testing) and found it very comfortable and user friendly. Obviously a higher version will be much better. Of course, I am yet to go through its capabilities.

Prabir Ji, congrats for CS6.

I was having CS5 pirated copy, but during reformatting my Laptop I lost that. Now I want to buy genuine software, and I’m planning to choose between CS5 and Light room 5, how you will suggest me about this? I have read some of article where they are saying go first with Light room and after some time we can buy CS5-6.

Any idea what will be the cost for Light room 5 in India?

I am not sure of the cost of latest Adobe Lightroom (is it LR4 or LR5?). You can check with the Adobe store. If you buy, you will be billed in INR.
When I bought CS6, I went through the Adobe store and was re-directed to Digital River S.a.r.l., Belgium and they charged my credit card in INR.

There is a discount on LR4 when bought with CS6. Total package cost is around 47K. LR4 separately costs around 8.5K in INR.

Surya, you can also think of CS6 + Topaz Denoise5.
Topaz Denoise works very well with CS6 as a plug in.
Cost of Denoise is about INR 4K. And the licensed version is good, consistency is assured.

Congratulations Prabir on ur purchase..I'm quite ok with piracy so can't really think of why anyone would want to pay that much money but to each his own :)

Think that someone is using your photographs for commercial purpose without giving you any credit, and forever everywhere.

Piracy is evil.

Actually Theqca, piracy is heavily prevalent in India only because our Intellectual property laws s**k. In the US you can find yourself slapped with a thousands of dollars fine if caught using pirated software or even illegally downloaded songs.

Prabir is IMO doing the correct thing by purchasing legally as he can afford it. :)

I guess we have to see subtleties here. US economy actually grows by effective implementation of anti -piracy laws. In India, it would hardly enhance the domestic industry. Besides, the purchasing power of USD is lower than that of INR. So the prices of software when in INR and bought from abroad are disproportionate. Not to mention the ever increasing current account deficit.

My friend instead of being called pirate why don't you join FOSS movement ?

Actually some of the image processing FOSS tools are more powerful then PhotoShop take example ImageMagic
it runs whole flicker and many other websites but with great power comes great responsibility so it is command line.

However as an end user you can shift to UFRAw and GIMP. UFRaw's feature like lens geomatry correction are not there in lightroom ( LR just has few preset profiles for known lenses).

If you demand something from Adobe like features / bug fixes you will be called nasty customer but if Even as a consumer you post your demands / Wishlist to the GIMP / UFRaw maintainer and report bugs you will be called contributor because
your nastiness improves the software.
