A thankyou / Like button needed.

Cant stop verbally thanking some discussions, they are so useful  :)

But this could be a nuance if too many people make thanks, and every single time it elevates the topic marked 'new' in the notifications page.

Requesting something like a 'Like' or 'Thankyou' button, which appears in the topic view, but doesnot mark the topic as 'new'.
[ for the whole topic, and not individual replies (?) ]

I agree with Nishad here. I may not be posting in galleries much but i read most of the reviews. The problem is most people just say - great, good or +1 rather than any in depth review. If such a like button is added i can invest my time reading more of proper reviews which would help me and the OP i believe. It would also make it easier for people to just like the post than take the effort and write +1.

Thanks button is available in SMF and other forum softwares but it will only show the no. of thanks given to the author, it wont show the names or handles of those who thanked.
