Finally got my long tele prime....

Took some test pictures. Here is the gear, D80 and the Nikon 400mm f5.6 ED-IF Ai on Manfrotto 190DB and 486RC2

Amazing lens, what sharpness.............lightweight (1.2kg but feels lighter than that), compact and a stunning perfomer......
Now I don't need to upgrade my tripod.....

Congrats ! :) Wonder why Nikon cannot come up with a 400mm AF lens when they can clearly make some nice 400mm MF lenses.

My thought precisely,
Canon has one, Sigma used to have one too.
They seem to focus on professionals and not amateurs with less than deep pockets.
