The open winged shot is not a Clean BG shot but the colours were too good to leave this pic aside. Hence thought of sharing

C&C welcome.

Superb shots Omkar...neatly composed and so well exposed. #1 stands out because of the colours & the BG.
You use 300 F4 for the large buterflies I guess. What lens do you use for the smaller subjects?..the 300 F4 doesnt give enough magnificatiion for the tiny fellows.

Udayan

Very very good stuff Omkar :). These are very good examples of why a simple/clean background makes such impact.

nice shots ... 1st one is standing apart becoz of BG
To see a world in a grain of sand,
And a heaven in a wild flower,
Hold infinity in the palm of your hand,
And eternity in an hour.

Thanks a lot for the words of appreciation folks :)

Infact, this tawny shot is one of the best green BG shots I have clicked :)

Udayan: Yes you are right. Bigger subjects - 300 f/4. I usually pair it with Kenko ETs. Smaller subjects as in the case above, are clicked with the 105 Micro VR.

DrAnand: Yes. The rare sightings & shots is what I also prefer more over the technically sound ones ;) Infact, They way it opened its wings & radiated that beautiful colour was a pleasure to watch & photograph. :)
