Another good green BG set from you Omkar.

#1 is #1 :D
Action packed, detail and good color.

Like that "shield" pose of the mantis..I personally would like to see the subject larger in the frame

Thanks all for liking the pictures :)

@Hayath: Even I thought of getting a frame filling shot of this guy. But, he was a little Nymph & took cover under the leaf when the lens came close to him  ;)

BTW, I got the ID for the Mantis from InsectIndia Group on FB. He is called Indian Unicorn Boxer Mantis  :D

Gr8 skill

But I'm not happy for processing part. As far as possible full dynamic range shd be used. Esp such shot require good mid-tone contrast (and brightness) to bring out texture and contours. Main subject must be the focus n shd be highlighted using PP.

This is what I feel and try to show in attached photo.
Regards & best wishes

thanks everyone :)

ISO: Thanks for that tip. What you are saying is right wrt rendering the Midtone. However, when I tried to do that, the BG got messed up which is evident in the processed pic you posted. Hence, I settled down with a pic that looked decent.
