What is the best actual price for a Canon 5D Mark III in India

Upgrading soon to Canon 5D Mark III. Please share the best actual prices in Indian or Bangalore region for one or two bodies without lens.

I have been offered the Canon 5D Mark III from Rs 175000 body only with bill and warranty. With the Dollar going up and the price only slowly going down, it is quite a good offer!
A free CF card was offered for the purchase of a second body; probably wiser to wait a bit for the backup body then. I still have a 5D Mark II.

Anyone maybe with a different offer?

I think 175K is a good price (approx US $3181 at current exchange rates) because the previous 'best price' I had read about was Rs 180K & that's in Mumbai. Frankly I think you should get it before Canon hikes the prices as have Nikon for the D4 and D800 (twice in less than 2 months).

I thought the same when I saw the price drop on Amazon US few days ago. But then, the dollar is getting stronger...

Will wait (or not?), going to Bangalore tomorrow to see the body...

A few thousands wont make a Difference if u really need the Camera in your Hand.

One thing this forum taught me in the past months is never to post the prices , cause some one gain is some others envy.

Take your supplier in confidence so he gives you a better bargain, cause camera is not the only equipment that one buy... afterall there there many add ups like bags, lens and other assesories too !

And final suggestion is once you buy the camera dont compare the prices cause it will only make you bitter, cause some one will always sell it cheaper some where and you cant be everywhere !

I got it for 178 in Mumbai, when I couldnt find any more bodies in Mumbai, anywhere. Depends on how desperate you are, and if 175 is the best you are getting now, I am happy with the pricing I got.

I think, he has got a professional packaging guy. LOL

Another friend of mine told me the same thing today. He said prices will go up by about 6%, not sure where he got the information from.

I bought a 5D Mark III first week of August for about 170+ body only thanks to the advice from some members here. Thank you!

Yesterday I went to Fotocircle in Bangalore and I was told the 5D Mark III is now 181.350 with a 40GB card and we should expect an other price rise very soon of about 3 to 5% for all Canon articles.

@fotocenter mumbai, it is 168K + 12.5% VAT which is 189K is there any way to avoid VAT ?
