Hi Seniors

Please suggest do we need this kind of equipments up north here (Delhi NCR)?

Do we have humidity levels here which can cause issues to our gear?

I don't have too many lenses at the moment, just one Canon 60D Kit and hardly get time for photography, it's lying idle most of the time since I bought it 3 month ago. Do I need to worry about fungus? I have purchased and kept some 6-7 small silica gel pouches in the bag containing it, Will that help?

Your inputs will be much appreciated.

Vishal, the best way is to buy a simple RH meter from ebay or local stores. This will give you an idea about the levels in your home. Then you can decide.

W.r.t the gears what you have, my suggestion will be, to use an airtight container with silica gel pouches in it. It will be having its own disadvantages too.

And please try to use your gears more frequently. Its really needed... else yes, fungus will give a try.
