Difference in price - Nikon D3200

(1/4) > >>

kalpitv:
Hi,

I've decided to purchase a Nikon D3200 kit with 18-55mm lens along with the following items:
1. Tamron 70-300mm lens
2. Velbon C-500
3. Hoya HMC UV filter 52mm
4. Hoya HMC UV filter 62mm
5. Sandisk 16GB Extreme Class 10
6. Scratchguard

Stores in Fort area are offering me a price of around 46,000/- however, at JJ Mehta, I have been quoted 49,500/- and after trying to negotiate for over 30 minutes, they didn't bring it further down. They stated that the stores at Fort (and Alfa as well) replace batteries / cables in the package and the UV filters they offer may be duplicate.

Does the difference in price only exist because JJM has a name for itself, or these problems actually exist.

I'm in a real dilemma as to where I should buy the camera from. Please give me your suggestions.

Thanks,
Kalpit

kalpitv:
I must add that the stores at Fort are providing bill and warranty.

And Im not sure if this thread should be here, the Moderators may move it to the appropriate place.

Beyond Legacy:
Dont know about cables, batteries replacing thing, but all those so called hoya filters they are giving are fake.. piece of **** glass, not worth 100 bucks also

kalpitv:
So would you rather save the 3 grand or prefer buying it at a considerably higher price at JJM?

Here's the complete breakdown of the best deal I got at Fort (Centura Store):
Kit - 32,750
Tamron - 8,500
Hoya 52mm - 800
Hoya 62mm - 1,100
Velbon C-500 - 2,500
SD Card - 1,400
Total - 46, 250 (after discount)

At JJM:
Kit - 35,000
Tamron - 9,000
Hoya 52mm - 950
Hoya 62mm - 1,260
Velbon C-500 - 2,980
SD Card - 1,600
Total - 49,500 (after discount)
