Please don't use your debit cards for internet transaction  :) - I am no internet banking geek but I am told if there is a mistake from the seller it could wipe off your bank account and more.

I think credit card comes with a lot more protection than debit card. At least in the US I have the right to dispute charges, they have called me many times when I used my card overseas or bought something of high value online etc just to verify that it was me who made those purchases. Credit Cards usually have limited liability.

Hey Sujoy, I am talking from my experience in the US. Kindly do check locally before you do anything. My experience may not be reflective of what happens in India.

Hello All,

I have a canon 1000d....and i am thinking of buying YN 465/467...
Since it wont support wireless flash and when using a radio trigger I will have to set the power rating manually, can anyone tell me whether YN 465/467 supports a TTL cable..and if yes, what cable would that be (model no.)?

TIA

I don't think cables are a problem. They are basically hot shoe extenders.

Hi, Everyone only talks of flashes that are compatiable with Canon or Nikon. I have an Olympus sp570uz, and I am looking for a reasonably priced TTL flash that is suitable for the hotshoe of the camera. I do not want an Olympus flash please. Any advice on flashes like Yonguno that is TTL to Olympus. Thanks

Am looking for a cheap flash for  experimenting purpose  planning to use it  off camera with a slave trigger
Went to fort market and asked around getting  vivitar 3200 for 900bucks.A shopkeeper i know suggested a old original used vivitar 285 i don't know whether its hv FOR 2000 bucks of course  i will bargain on that   says it has more power than the 3200 and can be used to cover events too but am not sure  he suggested a remote trigger for 750 asked around in few more shops and a good remote trigger is for 1800 and i plan to buy a stand for the flash too another 800 or 900 bucks and will a cable trigger do or do i have to go for wireless trigger any suggestions.

If you can get a Vivitar 285HV for less than Rs.2k after bargain, certainly go for it. The other vivitar is not as powerful as you mentioned.

so how to buy from ebay.com ...should I get from ebay global easy buy...I dont have a credit card will pay by bank transfer...soo will it work on ebay.com

Edit : - Ok I saw YN 465 and it have iTTL mode and some manual mode for 70$ ...but how do I purchase it..some of u said that u got it from ebay hongkong..any help.

SOme banks - and I know ICICI does, offer you a virtual credit card on which you define the limit and its validity. Think of it as a temporary credit card that you have created - with specified limits - so that even if the details fall in wrong hands, you are protected.

Use them for a safe and peaceful buying.

Hi Friends,

This weekend I  bought a used Vivitar 285HV. It is working fine as such. But I thought it would trigger optically my Nissin 622Di-mark I. But Nissin is not getting triggered optically by it. Nissin gets triggered by my 400D's on borad flash.

Is there any remedy for this? I thought Vivitar being triggerable by radio triggers, I will use that using some radio trigger, and in turn optically trigger the Nissin.

Please suggest some ideas.

Does the Nissin Di622 have an optical slave built in? If yes, then check if the Nissin's optical sensor can "see" the flash from Vivitar. Also, it might have not fire outdoors because of the same reason.
