Canon has launched the super-zoom PowerShot SX110 IS, which replaces the SX100 IS. With an increased resolution and a more compact build than its predecessor, the 9MP SX110 IS offers a 3.0” LCD, 10x optical zoom, Image Stabilization, Face Detection, Motion Detection and a new Easy Mode.

No more blur
Get great, blur-free shots, even at long zoom range or in low light. Activated in High ISO Auto, Motion Detection Technology uses Face Detection Technology, the optical Image Stabilizer and scene information - on both scene brightness and changes between individual frames - to identify subject motion and camera-shake. ISO is also optimised for minimum blur and maximum image quality.

3.0” LCD
A generous 3.0” LCD screen with wide viewing angle makes framing and reviewing shots a pleasure.

Shooting Modes & My Colors
20 dedicated Shooting Modes deliver superb shots in a wide range of lighting conditions. Easy Mode allows simple ‘Point and Shoot’ operation, while experienced users can experiment with full manual control. The inclusion of My Colors lets you add filter effects such as black and white, either in shooting or playback.

ISO 1600
A high-speed ISO 1600 setting allows correctly exposed shooting in indoor or other low-light conditions, without the need for a flash.

Movie options
Shoot smooth, 30fps VGA movie clips at the touch of a button. A special Long Play option uses around half the normal memory card space.
