Wii Points Card
Wii Points is a payment system that
Nintendo uses for its Wii console through the Wii Shop Channel.
Consumers can purchase points by an online credit-card transaction
or by purchasing a Wii Points card at retail. These points may then
be redeemed on downloadable games and other content in the Wii Shop.

Wii Points are used to
purchase a variety of items on the Wii Shop Channel, which is
divided into two sections: the Virtual Console for older games, and
the Wii Ware (Wii Software in the UK) section for things like the
Opera Wii Browser. Wii Points are redeemed through the Wii Shop
channel. There is a concealed panel on the back of the card which,
when scratched, reveals a code. The code is then entered on to the
Wii Shop channel and the requisite number of Wii Points are added to
the user's account.

Wii Virtual Console
Virtual Console,
sometimes abbreviated as VC, is a feature of the Wii gaming console
created by Nintendo that emulates older video game consoles and
allows players to play games originally released for those consoles.
This feature is supported by the Wii Shop Channel, an online
service that allows players to purchase and download games and other
software. The Virtual Console currently emulates the Nintendo
Entertainment System, Super Nintendo Entertainment System and
Nintendo 64, as well as Sega's Mega Drive/Genesis, NEC's
TurboGrafx-16/PC Engine, and SNK's Neo Geo AES. Support for
TurboGrafx-CD and MSX is on the way.
Virtual Console games
will be purchased via Wii Points and stored to the Wii's internal
memory or an SD expansion card . Those games approximately cost
between 500points to 1000points.
